The Finding of the child Jesus in the Temple

Scriptural Rosary 
Meanwhile the child grew to maturity, and he was filled with wisdom; and God's favour was with him.
Every year his parents used to go to Jerusalem for the feast of the Passover. When he was 12 years old, they went up for the feast as usual. When they were on their way home after the feast, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem without his parents knowing it. They assumed he was with the caravan, and it was only after a day's journey that they went to look for him among their relations and acquaintances. When they failed to find him they went back to Jerusalem looking for him everywhere.
Three days later, they found him in the Temple, sitting among the doctors, listening to them, and asking them questions; and all those who heard him were astounded at his intelligence and his replies. They were overcome when they saw him, and his mother said to him, "My child, why have you done this to us? See how worried your father and I have been, looking for you." "Why were you looking for me?" he replied "Did you not know that I must be busy with my Father's affairs?" But they did not understand what he meant.
He then went down with them and came to Nazareth and lived under their authority. His mother stored up all these things in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom, in stature, and in favour with God and men. (Luke 2, 40-52)
Meditation: In this mystery we search for Christ, finding Him through His teaching, He who is the Wisdom of God. Jesus, you are the one we can follow with confidence, the one who desires our true happiness and seeks only our good. You have the message of Eternal Life. Jesus, I listen to you.
Eternal Father, through Your Son, born of a woman, and subject to her, may we enter more deeply into the mystery of His hidden life with Mary in the home of my heart.
Mary, my Mother, may I genuinely seek Jesus with a sincere and truthful heart.
Our Father ... Hail Mary (x10) ... Glory be ... O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell and lead all souls to heaven especially those who have most need of thy mercy.

The Finding of the child Jesus in the Temple - Let us pray now for all the children and young people in our parish and in our schools. May our children's innocent hearts and minds, so receptive to the things of God, find passion for God and deep faith in those whose privilege it is to teach and guide them. And may our young people open their hearts to Christ.
And it came to pass after 3 days that they found him in the Temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions.
